School Fees and Concessions
During this unprecedented COVID-19 situation, the school management, SGB and staff had taken the decision to spare no cost in providing a clean, healthy and safe environment for your child.
To ensure continuous learning, the school had taken the following steps to keep children engaged in the curriculum:
- Term 2 booklets in all learning areas for all grades were prepared by educators and distributed to every learner. Parents please note the financial implication incurred to achieve this objective.
- Based on the current attendance record a decision has been taken to prepare booklets for term 3 to ensure that no child is disadvantaged in terms of curriculum coverage. Parents please note the financial implication that will be incurred during this process.
- I.T. equipment and software have been purchased to aid in the facilitation of online teaching and learning.
- The school is engaged daily in a process of deep cleaning and sanitisation which involves the purchasing of the required cleaning materials and equipment.
In addition to the above, the school still has to meet the mandatory expenses as follows:
- Lights and water expenses
- Telephone / Internet
- Insurance
- Salaries
- Security
- Photocopy and duplicating rental contracts
- Daily cleaning material
- Vehicle insurance
- Emergency maintenance
The current pandemic has had a negative repercussion on our financial situation, and therefore we appeal and urge you to honour your contractual obligation in terms of the South African Schools Act, to pay the school fees.
The South African Schools Act makes provision for concessions and assistance to those parents who cannot afford to pay the full school fees.
Whilst every effort is made to assist parents, we urge those parents that can afford payments to do so to ensure smooth functionality of the school.
The School Governing Body convened an urgent financial meeting on 30 June 2020 to address the financial predicament that the school has been placed in due to this pandemic.
The following decisions was taken to address the school’s financial predicament and to assist the parents:
- A 10% reduction for the academic year 2020 (R3060.00). A further reduction of R 60.00 if paid by 31 August 2020 (R3000.00).
- Alternative payment plans are as follows from 15 July 2020 to 15 December 2020:

We further urge parents who have been adversely affected by the pandemic to come forward for financial assistance. Concession forms will be made available for collection from 6 July 2020 to 10 July 2020 during school hours.
