Positive Case of COVID-19 at School

Please be informed that an educator of the school was tested positive for Covid-19. The educator was at school on Monday, 8 June 2020.

The School Governing Body and Management of Deccan Road Primary has taken all steps, precautions and protocols as prescribed by the Department of Health. Currently the Department of Education and the Department of Health is in consultation with the school and the protocols to be adhered to and the action plan to be taken.

As a precautionary measure it is advised that Learners who attended school over the past two days be monitored and seek medical care if any symptoms are present as well as to self-isolate until the Department of Health gives us direction. We are currently deep sanitizing the school
again. You will be advised timeously going forward.

Due to the protocols of the Department of Education and the Department of Health, we were given permission to release this information only at this stage to parents and learners.
